Care instructions

Wood sculptures can be displayed indoor or out. If indoors, we suggest not displaying directly next to a heat source. If displaying pieces outdoors, it is best not to display in the direct burning sun. All of our wood pieces are started off with two coats of a water based exterior Minwax finish. We suggest at least once a year putting on an extra coat of polyurethane finish to keep the piece looking fresh and shiny.

Disclaimer: With the exception of our fish, Most logs will eventually have a bit of checking (small cracks that will form as the log is drying from the inside out). There is no way to anticipate if/when/where it may happen. We try our best to minimize this occurrence with anticipating where the checks may occur, keeping them in the back of pieces as well as adding the Minwax finish. Checking can add a bit of character to logs, showing that it is a natural, sometimes still living piece of art.
